Moulded parts

Moulded parts are produced in one pressing operation. Whether a simple press mould, injection mould or injection-moulding process is used depends on the number of pieces, quality, economy, and geometry of the article. By means of subsequent vulcanisation, the rubber is converted from a plastic to an elastic state under the influence of temperature, pressure, and time.

Among other we produce, Rubber-metal and Rubber-fabric joints, Bellows, Plugs, Cable glands, Handles, Buffer, and Moulded bends. Our experienced technicians are always happy to help you with guidance and advice already during the development phase.

Bellows

Bellows are widely used in mechanical and automotive engineering as well as the electrical and pharmaceutical industry in a variety of forms and materials.
We will be happy to advise you on selecting the right material for your application.

Soft PCV bellows
For this type of bellow, a preheated mould is dipped in liquid PVC. The PVC film produced on the mould in the process is tempered in a chamber or continuous furnace. The bellow is removed from the mould with the aid of compressed-air and is subsequently finish machined.

This thermoplastic material is characterised by high ageing and UV resistance and can be used at temperatures between -30°C and +70°C. Good oil and grease resistance can be achieved by the addition of material. Standard colours are black, red, grey, and yellow.

The advantages of this production method lie in the relatively low mould costs compared to two- or multi- piece injection moulds.

Small piece numbers can also be produced cost-effectively.

Canvas bellows
These bellows are produced by sewing together fabric reinforced elastomer canvas. No mould costs normally occur. Wire rings sewn inside, and spiral springs arranged on the outside give the bellow its shape and stability. Zips and Velcro fasteners are used for easy attachment.

These bellows are resistant to ageing, weather, splashing oil and water and are largely rot resistant. Typical applications are delivery hoses for powdery or grainy materials in cement works, mills, and salt works. Oil resistant types are used as covers for pneumatic cylinders in offshore applications as well as mast covers on sailing boats.

Heat resistant materials
Heat resistant bellows are used, for example, in rolling mills, iron and steel works and in the glass industry. They protect piston rods, shafts and spindles against dust and sparks.

Heat resistant fabrics such as Kevlar, Preox or also glass fibre yarn are used. To achieve maximum mechanical resistance, these materials can additionally be laminated with aluminium foil or coated with silicone. It goes without saying that only asbestos-free materials are used.

For subsequent attachment, these bellows can also be provided with sewn-in zips and Velcro fasteners as well as separable, inner wire rings.

Leather bellows
Tough leather bellows are used to protect pistons, rods, and spindles. These articles are handcrafted and can be adapted to suit individual requirements in terms of shape.

Velcro fasteners can also be sewn into the bellows for easy attachment to the housing frame.
